Black Glutinous Rice And Corn Porridge

  • 150 grams of black glutinous rice

  • 1000 ml of water

  • 2 leaves of pandan, and knot them up

  • 100 grams of lump sugar or according to favored taste

  • ½ teaspoon of salt

  • 100 grams of sweet corn seeds, boil them

  • 8 of water chestnuts, slice them



  1. Soak the black glutinous rice for 1 hour, and drain it

  2. Boil the black glutinous rice with water and pandan leaves, and drain. Keep a small fire – cook it until it becomes cooked and soft.

  3. Add the lump sugar, salt, corn seeds and water chestnut. Cook it until it is done, and the pandan leaves could be removed

  4. Serve it for 6 persons – while it is still hot or not
